Erstellung eines generischen Simulationsframeworks zur Bewertung des Einsatzes kombinierter Verkehre in den vor- und nachgelagerten Transportprozessen produzierender Unternehmen

Research output: ThesisMaster's Thesis

Abstract

The aim of this work is to create a simulation framework that allows statements about the relocation of transports. The statements of the simulation refer to the shift from pure road transports to transports that also use combined transport. In order to make this framework as meaningful as possible, extensive research was conducted on infrastructure and freight transport. In addition to transport orders, route and infrastructure data were used as input. The simulation delivers as a result both the CO2 emissions over the entire transport process and the costs incurred. In addition, a graphical representation of the individual activities over the simulation period is output for each load carrier. By making small changes to the parameters, different scenarios can be tested. The results of the case study carried out show that a maximum shift to combined transport is the best solution in terms of both CO2 emissions and costs. However, the additional planning effort for intermodal transport as well as possible capacity bottlenecks of the infrastructure are not taken into account.
