Customer surveys have collected negative feedback regarding a specific product in the construction industry, the post carrier. To improve the usability and customer experience of this value proposition, a new interconnect device has been developed. The aim of this master thesis is the creation of a ZAT (Center of Applied Technology) - business model for the economic exploitation of this invention. In the course of the theoretical part, the structuring of a business idea is the basis for a business model. Building on this, the detailed description of a business model should serve as the basis for starting a business. In this context, this deductive approach focuses on the topic of digitization or digital transformation of traditional business models as well as corporate planning. The results of this scientific study should be used as a knowledge gain in the detailed formulation of the independent part of this master thesis, the ZAT business model. In this practical part of the thesis, both the strategy and the measures for exploitation possibilities are formulated or defined from the point of view of digital transformation, after analyzing the external environment and the internal system of this enterprise.
