Numerische Simulation von Systemkomponenten flexibler Steinschlagschutzsysteme

Research output: ThesisMaster's Thesis

Abstract

This work describes the mechanical analysis of a rock fall test with a maximum energy level of 2000 kJ at the Styrian Erzberg starting with experimental measurements and leading to a numerical simulation using the finite element program Abaqus. The first part deals with the definition of the task and the evaluation of the data according to the European standard ETAG 027. The second part describes the preparation of the measured data for use in the simulations, including the required assumptions for the three-dimensional calculations. The third part deals with the calculations and the advantages or disadvantages of the developed models, respectively. The simulations allow varying the input parameters enabling to estimate their impact on the overall system in an efficient and cost-effective way. Finally, the results and proposals for improvements of future simulations will be discussed.
