Abstract
As the abbreviated title "MADELAINE" of the thesis already reveals, it is a multi-adaptive DC electric vehicle charging infrastructure grid. In this grid, a few charging modules should be sufficient to charge a very high number of electric vehicles with direct current. Since the project consists of several work packages and several project partners are involved, these packages are divided according to the know-how of the partners. In this document, work package 3 is described. This package includes the hardware and software development of the DC grid. In the first phase, a safety concept is developed that includes all the necessary hardware components to ensure safe operation. The interface between the hardware and the software is implemented by a programmable logic safety controller. Within this control, a function block is developed for each hardware element. The function blocks with the specific functions of the individual elements are combined into a sequence program. This program in turn communicates with the supervisor of the system. The supervisor can thus handle a wide variety of switching operations and is informed by the controller of errors in the system. In addition, the functions of the software and the hardware are tested together in a laboratory setup. In addition to the development of the hardware and software, steps for the construction of the demonstrator are initiated in a further phase. For this construction, a technical room is designed and also implemented with the corresponding requirements.
