Due to serious working accidents and resultant troubles the company Breitenfeld AG endeavours to eliminate the circumstances, which led to the accidents, and to rearrange the processes to avoid risks of accident and health. The solution was the development of a guideline for workers protection which is the basis for the establishing of a management system for occupational health and safety. The objective of this thesis was the evaluation of the entire production flow while the emphasis was placed on the risk potential of the individual steps. Building on that a safety guideline for workers protection could be developed. This guideline provides a uniform regulation for risk assessment, evaluation and safety and security trainings. It relieves the compliance with national security regulations and directives. Moreover it determines the responsibilities concerning work place safety.
