Abstract

In the thesis presented a series of different possibilities has been compiled to realise the loading and unloading equipment of a swimming processing plant for river sediments on a transport lighter. After several considerations and given the possibilities and parameters a space saving materials handling using double belt conveyor was developed. Findings thus obtained were subsequently integrated into the planning and realisation of a suitable charging system on the transport lighter which is ready for the transport of the several different raw materials. Along with the loading of the conventional bulk transport an alternative in itself more flexible transport concept consisting of ISO bulk‐container was developed and simulated. Finally the concepts drawn up for the transport of materials were tested for their compatibility to de‐ and reloading in the harbours situated along the Danube. Their infrastructure and technical equipment were examined. As suitable ISO bulk containers for the transport of such type of material have not been available so far, a prototype corresponding to the regulations and conditions required by law as well as corresponding to technical requirements and norms was constructed. Along with the economical and un‐/ loading advantages it convinces in particular in its flexible dayto‐ day application. With the help of constructive auxiliaries as the 3D design program of CATIA V5 of Dessault Systems initially the output system as well as the container was designed in different types an designs which subsequently after their individual interpretations and calculations were simulated with the FEM surroundings of CATIA itself. Finally the individual systems were emptied with the help of EDEM software of DEM solutions, which was realised using a discrete elements simulation.
