Entwicklung eines Konzeptes zur Verbesserung der innerbetrieblichen Materialdisposition eines Schmiedebetriebes

Research output: ThesisMaster's Thesis

Abstract

The internal material disposition offers a lot of opportunities to improve a high adherence to delivery dates in a production plant. The current literature offers some starting points, but specific design and distinct measures are not approached in detail. The purpose of this thesis is therefore to develop a concept for the internal material disposition on shop floor production of a forging company with specific measures. Hence, the proposed concept is structured into planning, steering and organization of internal material disposition, information flow and technology for identification and tracking of material. The first step is a structured literature research. Afterwards an analysis of the current situation at Böhler Schmiedetechnik will be done. The next step is an evaluation and development of new concepts. Then an additional evaluation through an expert discussion will be done. Theoretical perceptions and empirical results of the expert interviews will be matched to maintain a recommendable concept. Therefore, a suggestion for decreased lead time, increased predictive accuracy and increased, adherence to delivery dates at Böhler Schmiedetechnik is the application of a plant level organisation and a mix of automatically and manually material disposition. Transport orders on information flow level, which are created out of the material disposition, need to contain different information. Booking of storage yards, on material identification and tracking level, should be done manual first. Later, it should be extended by automated tracking and booking technology.
