Abstract

The advancing digitization and the dynamic competitive environment are increasingly confronting companies with new challenges that must be overcome to secure the competitiveness of companies. This means that existing structures must be changed. The changes range from adjustments to the internal and external supply chain to the realignment of corporate strategy. As a result, modern key figure systems, which, due to their strong strategic reference, are not only used to measure performance, but also directly to evaluate strategy implementation, are becoming increasingly important. Since the company's services are heavily dependent on the selected cooperation partners along the supply chain, the cooperating supplier-manufacturer-customer-network must be actively controlled and coordinated to secure and improve the flow of goods and values. The results of the supply chain activities can in turn be displayed in a key figure system for ongoing review, whereby the trustworthiness and reliability of the results is only given if the data quality is adequate. This master's thesis includes the development of a key figure cockpit for supply chain management in a company in the electronics industry. The first two chapters are devoted to the theoretical fundamentals of data and data quality as well as key figures and key figure systems. These serve as the basis for the elaboration of the case study, which describes the individual steps in the development of a key figure cockpit. Since the creation of a key figure system is an individual process, the current situation of the company as well as the internal requirements are first assessed using expert interviews. The results of the expert interviews serve as the basis for the implementation of workshops for the step-by-step development of the key figures cockpit. Then the database of the key figures is evaluated regarding their data quality using a maturity model and recommendations for action are given to improve the existing data quality. The result of this thesis is the completion of the key figure cockpit, which is used to review and improve the performance of supply chain management in the company.
