Energieoptimierung Lackiererei - Analyse der Quellen und Senken

Research output: ThesisMaster's Thesis

Abstract

The aim of this diploma thesis was the energy-optimization of the paint shop of Magna Steyr Fahrzeugtechnik in Graz Thondorf. The energy requirement of the paint shop comes up to 70% of the total energy requirement of the production site. The painting of the state coaches is done in many energy-demanding steps, which require electrical and thermal energy (hot water) and natural gas. Within the scope of this diploma thesis, the most important energy sources and sinks of the paint shop were analysed, by collecting existing data and measuring missing data. On the basis of this preliminary work, it was possible to develop measures for the minimal and most efficient energy systems, for example heat-recovery from air compressors or reduction of the space-heating demand. Based on the developed measures for energy-efficiency and the implementation of solar energy, two integrated concepts with payback periods of less than 1.5 years and high energy-saving potentials were designed.
