N2 - This paper presents results from an investigation into secondary dust generation with bulk material handling and the possibilities of its simulation. The visualisation via DEM and CFD simulation and their coupling within bunker fillings are in particular highlighted. The combination of these approaches, and therefore the consideration of the interaction between the different phases, is carried out by coupling the simulations. There are several approaches and parameters for these simulations and their coupling, such as: one-way- or two-way coupling, Euler/Euler-model, etc. A description of them and possible new methods (DE-dust particle, (D)DPM) are also part of this paper. The simulations are made with ROCKY DEM and ANSYS Fluent.
