Volkswirtschaftliche Aspekte der Verwertung von Tunnelausbruchmaterial in Verbindung mit potentiellen Vertragsmodellen

Research output: ThesisMaster's Thesis

Abstract

The Chair of Subsurface Engineering of Montanuniversitaet Leoben is currently working on the creation of an online platform, which, in the sense of a material management system, will simplify and promote the recycling of tunnel excavations by providing an interface between tunnel construction and the raw material processing industry. A fast, straightforward connection enables target-oriented access to excavated material, which is otherwise expensively landfilled when not recycled during the course of the tunnel project. The distribution of tunnel excavated material, in its raw form or as processed product, creates an additional offer and, depending on the distribution radius, influences the regional or supra-regional market economy. The promotion of the dissemination through an online system makes it necessary to objectively discuss the influencing parameters, as well as the extent and the consequences of the effect on the market. Possible contract models for the sale of the excavation material are presented. These take not only the risk of unsafe geology into account but also the impact on the market. In order to test the functionality of the online platform, data of tunneling projects are inserted into the online system. The required data will be collected in the course of a research on European tunnel projects, with a focus on the German-speaking area.
