Abstract
The objectiv of this diploma thesis is the search for cost-effectiv anti-corrosion coatings for the interior of vessels to be used in the oil industry. For evaluation of the anticorrosive properties the manufacturers of such coatings were supplied with test specimens for application. Those coated samples were repeatedly tested under laboratory conditions by use of an autoclave. The test results indicate that some of the organic coatings meet the demands of protection against corrosion while exposed to elevated temperatures, high pressures, pressure fluctuations and corrosive medias. Therefore the application of anticorrosive coatings is a suggestive, cost-efficient alternative solution for the corrosion protection of the interiors of vessels. Several of the tested coatings show the capability of on-site application. This permits in-situ replacement of damaged coatings and extends their useful economic life. Likewise the maintenance and down-times are reduced to a minimum, thus increasing the economic effifiency.
