N2 - We have to do a study of the mining method, that Arcata mine is developing in the operations unit in the mine. The reason for this is that we have experienced problems during production, which could end with the closure of the mine. The critical issue is the mineral dilution in the exploitation process. This study will help to find alternatives and/or improvement processes that are part of exploitation process. In order to know details of the operations, we had to visit the mine and participate in different processes which are part of the mining cycle. In this report, we described in detail, each one of the exploitation methods used in the mine. After that we have done a complete analysis of each one of the stages that are part of each mining cycle. Finally the report includes suggestions to improve the process in order to help and improve the production costs. The study and analysis have applied basically the mining process that the Arcata mine is doing nowadays; also we have done commentaries that help to improve the ways of work through a general detailed plan that helps to coordinate with all areas, which participate in the exploitation process in the mine. This report is basically descriptive, because it is necessary to has estimated costs data; without this information it was difficult to measure the importance of implementing our suggestion.
