This master thesis intended to the multilayer topic of industry 4.0 and take a look into the subject of the potentially impact for the safety- and risk landscape of industrial enterprises. The basis for the entrance to the comprehensive topic offers a general introduction of terms and definitions and furthermore the applications of industry 4.0. Ensuing an explanation of cyber-physical-systems, a central industry 4.0 technology and an important component of this master thesis. In this context the questions of the development of standardization and norms should be answered and with it the question if it necessary to change regulatory frameworks by the influence of industry 4.0. The successional part to be engaged with the actual status quo of the safety- and risklandscape of production-systems and the actual methods, instruments and techniques of risk evaluation, determination and estimation and furthermore with preventive measures of risk reducing. In connection the main part of this master thesis take place. Possible changes into the safety- and risk landscape of the production industry are focusing by the influence of novel industry 4.0 techniques. Using the example of the development of a cyberphysical- system by reference of the previous chapter and their sections, a first step into the main part of this master thesis should be done. Afterwards follows the nucleus of the master thesis the empirical data analysis. By the means of expert-interviews it should try to filtering an image close to reality by the impacts and challenges which will be generated in the context of digitalization. Thereby change-processes should be identified which are possibly offers into the areas of safety and risk by the influence of industry 4.0 and resultant perceptions should be illustrated. Ultimately there should be generated a guideline in the course of this master thesis, which shows companies which are on the cusp of introduction industry 4.0 – techniques possible problem statements and solutions (if they are already existing) as well as considerations in conjunction with the setting of measures to reduce the risks. At the end of the master thesis there will be a reflexion of the whole master thesis where the awareness which were extracted once more will be discussed in short. Finally, there should be take a look on the question if industry 4.0 will be more chance or risk and which steps companies should take place in the case of a successful implementation of industry 4.0.
