abstract = "Mr. Kaisym asked the Institut of Mining and special civil engineering of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg in February 2016 for a subject for his master thesis. In order to present Mr. Kaisym an appropriate subject the master thesis “Planning & development of a hard coal mine under the consideration of an applicable completely mechanized extraction to ensure a daily extraction of 30.000 tons of usable material out of two coal beds” was developed. The aim of the master thesis is to develop a hard coal mine with appropriate mining methods to mine daily 30.000 t hard coal out of a given German deposit. Mr. Kaisym developed based on given geological data (geological section, coal seam content) a geological 3-dimensional model of the deposit. Based on this geological model appropriate mining methods have to be developed that are capable to mine 30.000 t per day. Therefor it had to be chosen between room and pillar mining and longwall mining. The chosen mining method was further analyzed in the ongoing report. Mr. Kaisym analyzed the longwall mining method in his report. Suitable mining machines were presented and evaluated. Based on the mining machines the underground hoisting as well as the ventilation had to be developed. A final evaluation of the developed mining concept should have been carried out.",
