Optimierung zweier RVT-Brenner: Experimentelle Untersuchung der Einflussfaktoren auf die Verminderung von Schadstoffemissionen und der Flammenstabilität

Research output: ThesisMaster's Thesis

Abstract

This master thesis provides an overview of natural gas combustion as well burners design. It includes an experimental work in a pilot pilot plant for gas combustion of the company RVT Process Equipment GmbH. By means of experimental investigations, a better understanding of the factors influencing the pollutant emissions shall be established. Furthermore, the part load behavior of the burners shall be improved, the optimum operating range of the swirl burner shall be identified, and transferred to a simplified industrial swirl burner. Additionally, a test routine for the safety installations of the pilot plant shall be developed. It has been studied, which parameters from two different burners influence the formation of pollutant emissions, especially of nitrogen oxides. These parameters include the geometry of the burner, gas and air speed and the utilisation of two different inputs for the gas. Furthermore, the flame stability has been analysed and consequently reported. Positive results will be further developed and carried to the industrial combustion. So, they represent a gain for the company and its enhancement in the market.
