Abstract
This paper deals with the numerical modelling
of the newly developed small scale rock cutting test with
the Finite-Element-Package Abaqus 6.12 and the implemented
Concrete Damaged Plasticity material model. To
avoid critical mesh distortion, the constitutive law has
been expanded with a user-subroutine. The aim is the
comparison of the simulated cutting and rolling forces
with those of the real laboratory tests.
