N2 - The subject of this thesis is a market investigation, which analyzes the present market for oil dehydration tools, summarizes the different available types of tools and equipments, and evaluates the solutions offered by the industry regarding capacity, efficiency, technological feasibility, and costs. Besides, a guideline will be developed which describes how to select the best fitting equipment by taking given process data, relevant safety packages, local conditions, as well as climate and nature aspects into consideration. Furthermore, the thesis points out the future development by showing the results of an extended literature search and discusses the requirements for selecting and planning dehydration apparatuses from the point of view of an internationally acting planning and consulting company from the engineering sector.
