Abstract
In the course of this master thesis, long-term and short-term compressive tests as well as shrinkage tests were conducted together with Johanna Hohenbühel to investigate the setting behavior of shotcrete of different construction sites. In twelve series, approximately 250 samples were produced on the construction sites of the Zentrum am Berg and the Semmering Base Tunnel, construction lot 3.1 Grautschenhof, and examined in the laboratory in Leoben. In this work, the construction material shotcrete and its manufacturing process are first briefly framed. Afterwards an overview of the sampling and sample preparation is given, the detailed description of these steps and the evaluation of the short-term pressure tests to study the development of strength and the modulus of elasticity are to be taken from the master thesis "Short-term pressure tests on wet shotcrete" by Ms. Hohenbühel [1]. The chosen form of the specimens will also be discussed in the third chapter and their choice explained. Subsequently, the compositions of the concrete mixtures of the respective construction sites are listed. In the following chapters, the procedure of the long-term pressure tests with constant strain rate and the execution of the shrinkage tests are described in detail. In order to be able to better classify the results of the long-term tests, the early strength development on individual samples was examined in the last series carried out, by means of uniaxial compression tests. The creation of the evaluation programs is described in the seventh chapter. These allow a quick and efficient evaluation of the large number of experiments and will also be used in future projects of the Institute for Subsurface Engineering. As an example, the long-term experiments at the Semmering Base Tunnel are mentioned. Finally, the results of the long-term experiments are discussed and an outlook and suggestions for improvement for future projects are given.
