Konzeption eines standardisierten Strategieentwicklungsprozesses unter Berücksichtigung von Qualitätsmanagementaspekten

Research output: ThesisMaster's Thesis

Abstract

In turbulent times it is hard to shape correct prognoses or to anticipate customers needs. Companies have to be adaptive to react quickly, show decisive management and behave in a flexible manner to assure continuity on the market. The necessity of being alerted increases strongly. Accordingly, it is important to consider strategic alternatives and be aware of influencing factors to achieve sustainable success. Therefore it is the aim of this master thesis to develop a standardized strategy development process in consideration of quality management tools. At first, the term strategy itself and different points of view, including their implications, are contrasted. A very important and relevant strategic concept is the one of Gälweiler, which puts the detection of success-factors in the focus of economic behaviour. These factors are centred around the process of finding new potentials for corporate success in the very heart of the strategic development process. After describing the elements of strategic management a basic strategic development concept is created. To assure high quality of the process, quality management tools and methods are integrated in the formal strategic process concept. First, they are theoretically analyzed, then they are embedded in the concept. Finally, the practicability of the conceptual strategic development process is verified in a steel treatment plant, which supplies mainly the railway industry.
