Abstract
The goal of the project is the development of a cement stone (hardened cement paste), that can replace the conventional proppants used during fracturing for hydrocarbon production. Furthermore before hardening, the cement paste has to function as the fracturing fluid and thereby replace conventional fracturing fluids and the chemicals they contain. The resulting cement stone should have a higher permeability than the surrounding rock at pressures up to approximately 1000 bar and temperatures of approximately 150°C. The cement stone has to be compatible with the rock, borehole fluids and all reservoir media. The main factors to accomplish the goal are the permeability and the compressive strength. Through the addition of diferent non toxic substances, both the permeability and the compressive strength will be optimized to create the aforementioned cement.
