Geschäftsmodelle für die Nutzung von regional erneuerbarer Energie für Elektromobilität

Research output: ThesisMaster's Thesis

Abstract

The energy and mobility sector are going through huge changes at the moment. With the integration of renewable energy sources and the growing amount of electric vehicles new challenges arise. This has also an impact on the existing business models and the connected business processes. Referring to the project Implementation of regional energy-supply-concepts by hybrid coupling (Move2Grid) this paper tries to find business models, which combine regional, renewable power generation with regional electro mobility needs. At the beginning there is a short overview of the present situation followed by a description of current challenges and changes, caused by the integration of renewable energy sources and electro mobility. In addition there is a general definition of the terms business model and business process and a description of the procedural method how the considered models were defined including a closer look on existing business models. Using this information two business models are described in detail: grid supported charging of the electric vehicle at home and charging the electric vehicle with produced power by a private owned solar cell at the place of employment. There are no or nearly non advantages for the customer to charge his electric vehicle grid supported due to the current taxes and tariffs a customer has to pay for the grid operation. The situation, which describes the charging of the electric vehicle at the place of employ-ment with produced power by a private owned solar cell, is similar. This could be solved by adapting the current electricity network usage fees.
