Posco and Voest Alpine Industrieanlagenbau have developed a process for the production of hot metal with non-coking coal since the last 14 years. This operation saves steps for the raw material preparation, like sintering plant and coking plant. The cooperation and process development had a lot of patents as result. In the next year (2007) the first plant of that type of operation mode will go on line. This is the reason why the patens have be selected and sorted. A creation of a patent matrix makes sense.
