The result of the thesis is a manual for the proper securing of paper rolls on trucks. The focus is on education and information, as well as bringing together the various technical requirements for securing loads. At the same time, the legal framework during loading and transport is analyzed on the basis of the underlying facts and is explained on the basis of existing case law. As a complement to the Quality Management System, the manual should help to avoid damages to deliver the products on time and in perfect quality. The Cargo Securing Manual is aimed at all those responsible for loading and transport and provides a significant contribution to the prevention of negligence in the dispatch area. The focus of the work is on the one hand on the analysis and description of the technical and legal framework, and on the other hand on the development of application-oriented solutions for the correct application in practice. The Cargo Securing Manual is characterised as such because it is generally understood and it enables all persons involved to carry out the loading and securing of cargo in the correct manner according to the state of the art. Significant rules, to which frequent reference is made, are also included as well as national and international regulations which specify minimum requirements for treatment of goods, vehicle use and the like. The question of responsibility, especially when negligence can lead to danger and damage is a major part of the work. Analysis and evaluation of legal regulations to cargo security according to applicable law form the theoretical background. A common thread uses legal provisions of transport, which are explained in more detail or commented on in part. Based on the insights gained, measures are developed to perform safe and effective transport and loading processes. They are the basis for continuous improvement and starting point in the design of the Cargo Securing Manual.
