The company Bilfinger Industrietechnik Salzburg GmbH has developed a modular construction system for bioreactors and fermenters. The aim of this thesis is to create a guideline for an as frictionless as possible and simplified processing of such orders, based on two orders from China. Moreover, there is need for improvement regarding their configuration and standardization. Initially, a comparison of bioreactors and fermenters and a description of their operating mode and their modular construction system are made. Then their requirements specifications are regarded in detail. Afterwards, each step of order processing as well as execution of diverse system tests are described in this paper. A handbook for processing of standard product orders is also part of this document. This is intended to bring relief for the employees of Bilfinger Industrietechnik Salzburg GmbH in order to keep track of the extensive documentation in course of order processing of standard products. In the appendix a glossary of terms can be found, including especially the technical terms of pharmaceutical industry. Within the limits of this work, a high degree of standardization could be achieved. Nevertheless, there is need for further such orders in order to reach a final standard bioreactor or fermenter.
