Entwicklung einer Simulation für Kommissioniersysteme

Research output: ThesisMaster's Thesis

Abstract

A modern picking system has to be efficient and flexible at the same time. To meet those requirements, it is often necessary to integrate different technologies in one system. This increases the complexity of the resulting system, which requires thoroughly planning and optimization. Whenever the complexity is too high for analytical methods, simulations can be used. This thesis explores the development of an event driven simulation software for picking systems. First, the theoretical foundation of picking systems and simulations are shown. Based on this, a software design for the resulting simulation software is created. The requirements include an efficient creation of the simulation model, an intuitive user interface, and a flexible software architecture. The use of a dynamic module platform enables efficient extensibility and maintenance of the software. The resulting software includes an event driven simulation core with persistent data storage capabilities and a user interface. New functions and elements can be integrated into the simulation software through dynamic modules.
