Abstract

Standardised management systems offer organisations a framework for a structured pursuit of their goals. Two of the most known management systems are the ISO 9001 for quality management and the ISO 14001 for environmental management. In this thesis approaches for a revision of an integrated management system using the already existing system of Concept Tech GmbH as an example are developed. The goals of the revision are an increased effectiveness, flexibility and efficiency of the management system, as well as the fulfilment of the ISO 9001 und ISO 14001 requirements. Initially the strengths and weaknesses of the existing management systems are analysed. The starting point of the revision is the focus on the processes by generating the process map, documentation of the sub processes and the development of performance indicators. Based on the process map several elements for the integrated management system are generated to achieve the defined goals. With the defined measureable criteria for effectiveness, efficiency, flexibility and fulfilment of the standards requirements it can be shown, that the initially set goals can be achieved for the revised integrated management system.
