Abstract
In the presented thesis, the design and construction of a laboratory
column flotation cell at the Chair of Mineral Processing
is investigated. The column is made from transparent
PVC-U pipes of 81.4 mm inner diameter and a thickness of
4.3 mm. The maximum air pressure for creating bubbles is
1.4 bar. The column design includes three inputs (feed, wash
water and compressed air) and two outputs (tailings and concentrate).
The height of the column is adjustable for different
purposes.
