The rock- and palaeomagnetic investigations aimed at age determinations by means of magnetic polarity stratigraphy and observations of cyclic variations of magnetic parameters. The polarity determination was not successful, but all measured and calculated magnetic parameters display significant cyclic arrangements. Two full cycles can be described; the first starting at 95 and second at 50 meters depth. The results of time series analysis can be interpreted multidisciplinary as obliquity cycles, linked to the change in the tilt angle of the Earth{\textquoteright}s rotation axis with a period of ~41.000 years. This change affects climate and environment, and thus environmental factors such as precipitation, evaporation and wind systems, which in turn influence the rates of weathering, biogenic production, availability and source areas of detrital material. This cyclic environmental changes, reflected in variations of lithology, are in turn reflected in the magnetic mineral concentration and type. Therefore, the acquisition of the magnetic signal, as well as diagenetic processes which affect this signal can be linked to climate and/or changing environmental conditions.",
