N2 - The objective of this project is to prove the value of introducing and maintaining L.E.A.N Manufacturing techniques across Australian manufacturing facilities. The project aims to identify economical reasons why Australian manufacturing needs to stay competitive despite the ongoing challenges of a “two speed” economy that continues to drive the Australian dollar higher and consequently forcing manufacturers into difficult times with export revenue declining. With Australia’s mineral and resource strength set to continue well into the future the gap between mining and other sectors such as manufacturing grows wider.
