Abstract
The present work deals with the investigation of hot cracking susceptibility of wrought aluminum alloys as well as AA 2017, AA 3535, AA 6061, AA 7050 and AA 7075. The practical tests have shown that certain alloying elements have significant influence on hot tear susceptibility. The setting of the amount of alloying elements increases or decreases the hot tear sensitivity. For this purpose various compositions of the alloy have been treated. The obtained hot cracking sensitivity was then evaluated.
