Alloy C-726 has been produced at Deutsche Nickel since the 1990ies, however, claims from client´s side because of failure during Intergranular Corrosion Tests lead to investigations revealing precipitations that were the cause of the failure. In order to reduce these precipitations, material must be processed in a proper produciton window during hot working and heat treatment, furthermore the chemical composition can be adjusted to gain better test results.
