N2 - This paper deals with the numerical modellingof the newly developed small scale rock cutting test withthe Finite-Element-Package Abaqus 6.12 and the implementedConcrete Damaged Plasticity material model. Toavoid critical mesh distortion, the constitutive law hasbeen expanded with a user-subroutine. The aim is thecomparison of the simulated cutting and rolling forceswith those of the real laboratory tests.
