N2 - In this thesis hole deviation for production drilling is measured. The measurements are carried out at Bolidens mine in Garpenberg and are one part of the course Sandvik International Mining School at the University of Leoben. The work is carried out during spring and summer 2009 with great help from employees at Boliden. For the measurements Tamrock Hole Checker is used. The inclination and azimuth are measured along the depth of the hole and presented as coordinates. The results are further analyzed in the 3D Computer Aided Design program NX5. The measurements in Garpenberg show that the hole deviation increases with larger depths and that the hole deviation mainly is between 2.5% and 4 % in the stopes measured. If the mine design is kept, smaller changes like optimization of drilling parameters and changes of bit design and start rods can be of interest. If the stope height is going to be increased considerably bigger changes are probably needed to avoid too large grow of hole the deviation. For example other drilling methods, like tube drilling, can be used.
