N2 - The effects of metallic Y and Ti addition on the dispersion and solubility behaviour of added Y2O3 in an oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) equimolar FeCrMnNiCo high entropy alloy (HEA) during mechanical alloying (MA) at room temperature were investigated. Only minor differences in the milling behaviour were observed. Inhomogeneities regarding Y distribution in and between as-milled powder particles were observed. The remnant Y2O3 particles after milling were studied extensively in their size and abundance and the overall percentage of disintegrated oxide caused by MA was estimated to be 83 % ± 10 %. Positive effects due to the addition of metallic Ti were not observed. The substitution of Y2O3 with metallic Y did not have any negative effects and effectively decrease the overall O content of the material. Positive effects due to this substitution are possible.
