Abstract
The procedure for the thermal treatment of cement raw meal, limestone, dolomite or magnesite in particulate form by the supply of preheated raw biogas as fuel, comprises calcining the raw material and then converting into cement clinkers. The raw biogas contains ammonia of 2.0 mg/m3>, and hydrogen sulfide of 15000 mg/m3>. The thermal treatment takes place at 700-1500[deg] C. The excess heat developed during the thermal treatment is used for the production of raw biogas. The exhaust gases containing nitrogen oxides developed during the thermal treatment are reduced in presence of a catalyst. The hydrogen sulfide contained in the raw biogas is transferred into calcium sulfate. An independent claim is included for a device for the thermal treatment of raw material.
