Abstract
The Titan group is a multinational producer of cement and building materials, headquartered in Greece. Founded in 1902, the Titan group has up to now expanded both production and distribution into 13 countries and employs more than 6,000 people. This thesis is a part of an overall project and consists of two parts. The first part of this thesis outlines a five-year mining plan for the limestone-open pit mine Suvo Vrelo, located approximately two kilometers west of Kosjerić, Serbia. The extraction in this open pit is done by drilling and blasting and the recovered material is pre-crushed on the bench by a mobile crusher. The hauling is carried out by track-mounted mobile belt conveyors to a production shaft. Afterwards, the material is transported in a tunnel with a stationary belt conveyor. The mining plan is based on a 3D model put together from different data sets showing the surveying from February 2014. Using this model, a volume calculation of each floor was performed. The AutoCAD application GeoModeller from rmData was used for designing the base model. For creating the 2D-mining plan, the base model then was exported to AutoCAD and edited. The complete and finished drawings were then put together to a short movie to provide a better visualization. The second part of this thesis presents the design and installation of production shafts. The first step was a literature research to get an overview of current designing tools and construction methods. The second step was the adaption of a designing tool on basis of Jansen’s theory of material behavior in silos and a comparison to the results with the already existing methods.
