This master thesis has to deal with the optimization of a maintenance-software which is in use since two and a half year. Two plants of the medium-sized company are working with the installed tool. The first step is the analysis and assessment of the present situation. Therefore, important actions and work processes of the maintenance department will be described. The goal is a complete process-visualization in combination with the software according to the maintenance department. Afterwards the spots in the use of the system will be explained. Also not used areas of the tool have to be described. This concerns functions which are installed and possible further enlargements by special modules. The accompanying potential has to be shown. The essential content is a list of adequate optimizations which will be converted by the maintenance department after the end of the thesis. Therefore first steps of the conversion will be developed an the effort of the implementation assessed. The basic advantages and improvements will be demonstrated in compliance with specific aspects according to the software-system itself, the use of the tool and the company.
