Abstract

Because of the huge and rapid development in the last years in the area of computer technology and its components, the numerical simulation, which requires much computing power, is getting more and more profitable for customers. While in the beginning of simulation primitive tasks required big and expensive computing centers to get a result in some days, today modern servers or computers can solve complex problems in a few hours. Currently most of the companies run simulations for a stage of production or an entire process. The advantage of a numerical analysis is an early recognition of failures and through this a saving of time and overall costs. Also, any number of samples out of various materials can be tested, without having to produce them. The aim of this master thesis is, to take advantage of the numerical analysis, to investigate the impact of the parameters and its variation at the deep drawing process. Different materials and variations of its properties, which are important for deep drawing, should also be simulated. Especially the required force for the process and the thickness- as well as the strain distribution during and after the process should be analyzed. The spring back of the material after deep drawing is a very important field in sheet metal forming and has also to be analyzed. The results should be documented clearly to show the reader how the parameters impact the deep drawing process.
