Abstract

The present work deals with the measurement und calculation of residual stress in steel strips. The aim was on the one hand to analyse the residual stress state of cold rolled steel strips with the hole drilling method and on the other hand to investigate a new possibility to measure residual stress with the optical measuring system Aramis and to compare the results with the holedrilling method. After analyzing the residual stress in the cold rolled steel strips so called cutting lines were investigated concerning the residual stress. These cutting lines are commonly used as cutting tools in the paper industry. First of all the sabre was measured in the different manufacturing stages with the optical measuring system Aramis. Afterwards the measured sabres were calculated with the simulation software Deform and compared with the results of Aramis. In the last step the applicability of the optical measuring system Aramis for the direct measuring of strain relaxation was considered. For that purpose residual stress of cutting lines were exposed by cutting the lines cross to the rolling direction. In conjunction with a numerical anaylsis the residual stress state was analysed cross to the rolling direction. Afterwards the results were compared with the results of the x-ray method. The work shows a comparison of different residual stress measurement methods concerning the applicability, precision and costs.
