The calculation of cycle times in high performance tunneling is a very important part during the calculation stage. It is important to calculate the duration of steps in advance in order to develop a realistic personel, cost and constructability performance. As part of the thesis, guidelines and formulas for creating a data sheet for calculating cycle times are shown. The values for the calculations, like the time for bolting or building a support core, are found in the literature. In some cases it was necessary to replace that data by field values, as the literature data were considered not to be realistic. The calculation sheets were generated in Microsoft Excel. Finally, the calculated cycle times were verified with the real data from the already completed tunnel “Roppen”. The needed values, like excavation length or supporting, were taken from the original tender documents from the ASFiNAG.
