Abstract

In process engineering, pressure vessels make up a large proportion of the employed apparatus. In research, pressure vessels are used to simulate the environmental conditions occurring during the real process in order to investigate their effect on the process. By investigating and evaluating the influences of various process parameters and their interactions, conclusions can be drawn about process behavior and process quality. The practical implications obtained can be applied in the real process and thus offer added value in terms of process technology and economic advantage. In order to be able to investigate wire-based additive manufacturing processes under varying pressures, temperatures and atmospheres, trials are carried out in an autoclave system. This master thesis deals with the conception and design of an autoclave system for high-pressure applications in additive manufacturing at the Chair of Metal Forming at the Montanuniversität Leoben. In the scope of this work, the design and conception of a pressure vessel according to the AD 2000 regulations is presented. The design includes the basic body of the shell, the closure system, bolted connections and the cover. In addition, the constructive design and the necessary steps for obtaining the conformity of the pressure vessel are dealt with.
