Hydrodeoxygenierung von biobasierten Intermediaten

Research output: ThesisMaster's Thesis

Abstract

In this thesis the hydrogenation (HDO) of biobased intermediates is described. The used intermediates are obrtained from catalytic gas phase coupling condensation reaction. At first the reaction shows an elevated catalyst activity, which is going to decrease with the course of reaction time. The main products, coming from the hydrogenation, are the corresponding alkanes of the deployed ketones an alcohols. Additionally, analytics have shown the production of byproducts, mainly cycloalkanes and products that arise from hydrocracking reactions, as side reaction. In addition, a description of the influence of changes in the parameters reactor temperature, catalyst load and hydrogen excess on the three-phase reactor used and the product-related target parameters turnover, yield and selectivity is given in the course of the work. Due to their suitable carbon chain length and the composition of isoalkanes and cycloalkanes, the products from the HDO show very good properties for the usage as turbine fuels. Finally, long term examinations on the reaction with respect to the product spectrum and influence on deactivation of the catalyst were carried out and depicted.
