Gefüge und mechanische Eigenschaften einer intermetallischen TNM-Legierung für den Einsatz als Rennsportventil nach einer neuen Herstellroute

Research output: ThesisMaster's Thesis

Abstract

In the present master thesis a basic characterization of a TNM alloy according to a new manufacturing route for the production of racing valves is carried out. The intention of this thesis is to compare the new process with other already established processes and to identify possible benefits such as a better chemical and microstructural homogeneity or improved mechanical properties. The microstructure and its change during production are characterized by light optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. In addition to this, mechanical test methods such as the bending circulation test and also tensile tests at room temperature und high temperatures are carried out. The purpose of those tests is to simulate the actual load on the valves. The characteristics of the microstructure and their influence on the mechanical properties are discussed in the course of this thesis.
