The purpose of this work is the realization of a concept to modularize the structure of circuit diagrams of rail vehicles. The developed concept should help to ease, to improve and standardize the electro-engineering. The proposed concept is oriented at the whole rail vehicle and shall be described clearly with the example “modularized rail vehicle passenger door” and the implementation capability as well as the additional value in the structured process shall be analyzed..
During this work, a concept for a modularized structure of the circuit diagram of rail vehicles was developed. The function of the concept was shown by the example of a modularized door of a train and in this context the description and the labeling of the different electrical parts was analyzed. Because of the decisive meaning of the labeling, a new concept for labeling the electrical parts was determined. In addition to that, the circuit diagrams of standard functions of an electrical door were drawn and the various benefits of a modularized concept were identified. In conclusion, it was observed, which steps would be necessary to implement a modularized concept in a company.
