Abstract
Since about 80 percent of all artificially lifted wells are equipped with sucker rod pumps, the understanding of these systems is essentially for the pump design. In mature oil fields additionally the economic performance is of major importance. One of the most requested information within sucker rod pumping systems is the behavior of the pump plunger. These data allow a precise analysis of the downhole conditions of the pumping system.
This poster presents the DDS and its features. Depending on the selected parameters, the interpreted data can be used to accurately predict buckling, determine friction coefficients and indicate problems. In addition an energetic optimization of the sucker rod string can be performed.
