Digitalisierung der Abschlagskarten für den Bergbau Webing der Moldan GmbH mittels Surpac

Research output: ThesisMaster's Thesis

Abstract

Moldan Baustoffe GmbH & Co KG owns the underground gypsum mine ¿Webing¿ in the vicinity of Abtenau, Salzburg. It grew historically; Documentation of drift advance is still conducted in a very traditional way using paper, although every step of drift advance is being analysed in laboratory. As an opportunity to improve the currently used experience based approach of mine planning a digital database including a block model should be established. This has been done in this master thesis. An excel spreadsheet was created off the paper based documentation including coordinates; As a result an easily adjustable database exists. It is the basis for many possible fields of application like visualization and data analysis. That spreadsheet was used to create a database, which is compatible with GEOVIA Surpac. Furthermore, a deposit model, a string file which represents digitalized data and several variograms have been created. This is the basis upon which the final product, a block model, was created upon. For that Ordinary Kriging has been used to model the deposit in a geostatistical way. The created model shows a very good correlation with reality in relevant areas near the existing excavations. However there is low experience with the used software GEOVIA Surpac on site and also a license for use is missing. As a result additional coloured graphics representing grades have been created for various mining levels. This way the result of block modelling can also be used in AutoCAD as an overlay. As the last step a purely data based interpretation of the block model has been conducted. Here some relevant areas could be identified. Geological circumstances on site have not been respected when creating the interpretation.
