Aufbau und Validierung eines Simulationsmodells zur Untersuchung des Betriebsverhaltens von Stabrohrmühlen mittels Variation von Prozessparametern

Abstract

This master thesis was created in cooperation with the company CEMTEC Cement and Mining GmbH and the Chair of Mining Engineering - Conveying Technologies and Desing Methods - at the Montanuniversität Leoben. The background of the work were problems with the mounting of inside lining to rod mills, which the company CEMTEC delivered to India. There was a suspicion that the stresses occurring are higher than assumed. For this reason, it is important to create a simulation basis that the stresses should be shown as precisely as possible. Particular attention should be paid to the dynamic behavior of the system with regard to the process parameters speed, rod filling and rod distribution. The main point of this work is to create a simulation basis and to develop a method to validate the simulations carried out. The measurement data from the test rod mill serves as the basis for the calibration process. The friction and damping parameters are determined on the basis of the calibration. The simulations depict various operating states of the Indian plant in order to make statements about the three mentioned process parameters. A total of 18 different operating states are simulated. The connection between mechanical engineering and processing technology is just as clear in the simulations as the indispensable harmony of these two disciplines with regard to the design and operation of such a system. Finally the three process parameters speed, rod filling and distribution are also considered like the grinding zone, individual particle movements and the deflection angle.
