N2 - Artificial lift systems (ALS) are used in mature oil fields, which have insufficient pressure to produce hydrocarbons naturally. Nowadays, sucker rod pumping systems hold a significant share of the artificial lift market [12]. In Lower Austria, for several decades, oil is produced by the use of sucker rod pumps. However, in the past decades, the large fields became super mature, and hydrocarbons‘ economic recovery is challenging.
