title = "Knowledge Management in OMV Exploration and Production",
abstract = "In order to enhance performance of enterprises, knowledge management can serve as possible lever to achieve that aim. However, it may be difficult to make knowledge tangible for managing processes and thus the main task of this thesis is to show a way how knowledge can be identified as productive factor. This will be done by deducing and executing a knowledge assessment. In the first part of the thesis knowledge management basics will be presented, whereas the attention will be paid on those theories, which will be essential for the workflow. In the next step a knowledge assessment model will be deduced that is based on different approaches from literature, but will be adapted to the special needs of OMV. This model was realized in the OMV department Project Management and Investments (AUT-PI) with the aim to determine the most important knowledge types within the department. Furthermore the driving influence factors regarding these knowledge types were identified and recommendations for possible measurements were suggested how to deal with these driving factors. The results of the assessment allow purposeful interventions and can be seen as a first step in organizing the resource knowledge within AUT-PI.",
